SPORTDOG® BRAND SPORTTRAINER® 575 MODES EXPLAINED
THINGS TO KNOW
Simply put, modes change the type of correction each button delivers. Your system comes factory set to mode 1. Though it is not necessary to change modes, they do allow you to program different types of corrections to your buttons. See the chart below for the modes available on your system.
MODE 1
The Continuous Correction will deliver a static correction for as long as you hold the button down, up to 10 seconds. After 10 seconds you will need to release the button, wait 5 seconds, and press the correction button again before it will deliver the static correction again.
When using Tone, a non-static, high-pitched tone is emitted. This tone is intended for dogs to hear. A great deal of humans have some difficulty hearing the tone. This is normal. There is no way to adjust the volume of the tone.
Vibration is a non-static correction that is especially helpful to get the dog’s attention when training deaf dogs or if the tone is difficult to hear, such as on a windy day.
MODE 2
This mode allows you to program a Momentary Static Correction instead of the Continuous Static Correction.
Momentary Correction will only deliver a single quick pulse of correction no matter how long you hold the button.
