HOW TO CHANGE THE RUBBER CHARGE PORT COVER ON MY SIT MEANS SIT COLLAR

If you need to replace the battery, this should be done at the same time as they both require opening the collar. SIT MEANS SIT-HOW TO REPLACE YOUR COLLAR BATTERY.

Your collar is still 100% waterproof without the rubber charge port cover. However, they do help keep mud and debris from getting in your charge port and prevent damage to the charging system.

Remove both screws from the back of the collar with a ³/₃₂ hex key.

Pull the front and the back of the collar apart at the seam allowing the strap to slide through the side slots.

Locate the slot for the rubber cover, and remove any pieces left. Even if your cover is missing, you should still check for any remnants.

Slide the T-shaped tab of the cover into the slot on the collar.

Put the collar back together. Reinsert the screws and hand-tighten them with the ³/₃₂ hex key.

Be careful not to fasten the screws too tight as this can damage the collar.
