MY SPORTDOG® TEK 2.0 HAS RANGE ISSUES
Important information
The TEK series 2.0 system has a range of up to 10 miles with minimal obstructions. Depending on the way you hold the handheld device, maximum range may vary.
For consistent results at longer ranges, hold the handheld device in a vertical position away from your body and above your head. Terrain, weather, vegetation, transmissions from other radio devices, and other factors will affect the maximum range.
If your range has reduced from the first time you used the system, please check to see if the battery is low in either the Handheld Device or GPS Collar with E-Collar Module.
Confirm all antennas are free from damage and the remote antenna is hand-tight.
Confirm both the TEK 2.0 remote and collar have a GPS lock. For more information, visit HOW TO GET GPS LOCK ON MY SPORTDOG® TEK 2.0.
Make sure you are outside in an area with no interference, away from buildings, homes, vehicles and have a clear view of the sky.
Calibrate your compass. For more information, go to our article HOW TO CALIBRATE MY SPORTDOG® TEK 2.0 COMPASS.
