MY SPORTDOG® HOUNDHUNTER® 3225 REMOTE TRANSMITTER OR COLLAR RECEIVER WILL NOT CHARGE

Depending on the frequency of use, the remote transmitter has a battery life of approximately 40-60 hours and 140-160 for the collar. The batteries have a life of approximately 3-5 years. However, this can vary depending on the amount of use and charging habits. For more information on the best charging practices, visit our article HOW TO CHARGE YOUR SPORTDOG® HOUNDHUNTER® 3225.

IF THE COLLAR AND REMOTE LIGHT UP ON THE CHARGER

Ensure the components charge until they are full. Both the collar light and the remote light will be solid while charging and begin to flash once charging is complete. This can take 2-4 hours.

If the components begin flashing on the charger right away or soon after being plugged in, visit SportDOG®.com to purchase the remote battery or the collar battery.

IF ONE OR BOTH COMPONENTS DO NOT LIGHT UP ON THE CHARGER

It can take up to 10 minutes for the lights to come on when plugged in if the battery is completely depleted.

Check the charge ports for damage or debris.

Rinse the inside of the charge ports with fresh water and allow to air dry if they appear dirty.

If damaged, replacement components can be purchased at SportDOG®.com.

Ensure the wall outlet has power. Try plugging the system into a different wall outlet. If the units will not light and the wall outlet has power, visit SportDOG®.com to replace the power adaptor.
