MY DOG IS GETTING CORRECTED BY THE SPORTDOG® NOBARK SBC-R COLLAR WHEN THEY ARE NOT BARKING

Two Collars On At Once on the DogTwo Collars On At Once on the Dog

Other dogs barking will not cause the collar to activate as the collar relies on both the sound of your dog’s bark and the vibration of your dog’s vocal cords. However, though it is unlikely, false activations may be caused by a combination of other noises and vibrations happening at the same time.

Other collars and tags rubbing against the bark collar can cause vibration. To avoid false activations, your dog should not wear other collars or identification tags while wearing the bark collar. Other collars and tags rubbing against the bark collar can cause vibration and sound.

If your dog is not wearing collars or tags with their SBC-R collar but is still getting corrected without barking, your collar may be too sensitive.

TO ADJUST THE SENSITIVITY:

Start with the collar off.

Press and hold the plus button.

Continue to hold the plus button while pressing and holding the power button.

Release the power button once the collar powers on. The display will say the current sensitivity level. If you’ve never changed it will say “Standard”.

Using the minus button, change the sensitivity to -1 or -2.

Wait 3 seconds, and the display will read SPORTDOG SBC-R. At that point, the sensitivity will be set.
