MY DOG DOESN’T RESPOND TO THE SPORTDOG® FIELDSENTINEL™ COLLAR
Remove the collar from your dog before troubleshooting.
Ensure that both the handheld and collar are powered on and have a sufficient charge.
- If sufficiently charged and powered on, both the handheld and collar’s Indicator Lights should blink green every 3-4 seconds with no buttons being pressed.

Verify that your handheld and collar receiver are paired.
- To confirm this, turn your dial to any number and then press the button you use to signal static stimulation to your dog. Be careful not touch the contact points to avoid feeling the static stimulation.
- The collar’s indicator light will glow solid red while the button is being pressed if the system is paired.
- If the collar doesn’t light up, pair your handheld and collar. For more information on pairing, go to our article HOW TO PAIR MY SPORTDOG® FIELDSENTINEL™ HANDHELD AND COLLAR.
Ensure that the collar is delivering the stimulation.
- Turn your Intensity Dial to 7.
- Place the collar’s contact points on the test light tool’s two wires.
- Press and hold the button used for static stimulation.The collar will show a red Indicator Light and the test light tool will glow an amber-colored light in the center, confirming static stimulation is being delivered.
