HOW TO FIND MY DOG’S RECOGNITION LEVEL FOR A SPORTDOG® REMOTE TRAINER
No matter the size or breed of your dog, all trainers should start at level 1.
At no point should your dog vocalize or panic. If they do, start from the lowest level, and repeat the process.
Starting at level 1 on the intensity dial, correct your dog when doing something undesirable.
Look for signs from your dog, like looking around in curiosity or flicking his ear, that show your dog recognized the stimulation.
If your dog shows no signs of recognition, you may advance to the next level on your Intensity Dial and try again.
Once the recognition level is identified, this is the level you should start at when you begin training.
