HOW TO CHARGE YOUR SPORTDOG® SPORTTRAINER® SD-875

GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR BATTERY

Turn your collar off between charges to preserve your battery.

Charge your units once a month if you need to store them for long periods of time.

Only charge the remote transmitter and collar when you see the low battery indicator. Overcharging the remote transmitter or collar can shorten the battery life.

KNOW WHEN TO CHARGE

Your remote transmitter will indicate a low battery with a red light when any button on the remote is pressed.

Your collar will indicate a low battery with a red light flashing once every 4-5 seconds.

You can expect the remote transmitter to have a battery life of 20-40 hours between charges.

Please note that your collar will have a solid red light anytime you signal a static stimulation from your remote. This is normal and should not be confused with the low battery indicator.

Plug the power adaptor into a wall outlet. Then lift the rubber charging port cover on the collar.

The charger can only be inserted in one direction. Make sure to line up the notch on the oval charger end with the ridge in the charging port.

The Indicator Light will be solid green when charging and takes about 2 hours to complete.

The charger end that resembles a fork can also only be inserted in one direction. You may notice that one side of the charger end is slightly wider than the other end.

When inserted properly into the remote, the charger will click into place and the battery icon on the screen will indicate it is filling.

Be cautious not to force the charger into place.

When the collar is finished charging the Indicator Light will flash green. The transmitter battery icon will stop filling and appear full.

Power the collar on to continue normal operation.
