HOW TO CHANGE THE RUBBER COVER ON MY SPORTDOG® YARDTRAINER 300 REMOTE TRANSMITTER
HOW TO REPLACE YOUR REMOTE'S RUBBER CHARGE PORT COVER
THINGS TO KNOW
- If you need to replace the battery, this should be done at the same time. Visit HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERY IN MY SPORTDOG® YARDTRAINER 300 REMOTE TRANSMITTER for more information.
- Your remote is still 100% waterproof without the rubber covers. However, they do help keep mud and debris from getting in your charge port and prevent damage to the charging system.
Using a #1 Phillips screwdriver, unscrew all 8 screws from the back of the remote.
Remove the back, locate the rubber cover, and remove any pieces left. Even if your cover is missing, you should still check for any remnants.
With the new cover in hand, slide the T-shaped tab of the cover into the slot on the remote.
Put the back plate back on and reinsert all the screws and hand-tighten with a screwdriver.
Be careful not to fasten the screws too tight as this can damage the remote transmitter.
