HOW TO CHANGE MY SPORTDOG® YARDTRAINER 100 OR 100S REMOTE BATTERY

How to Change Your Remote's Battery

If you need to replace the rubber charge port cover on your remote transmitter, this should be done while changing the battery as they both require opening the remote transmitter. Visit HOW TO THE RUBBER COVER ON MY SPORTDOG® YARDTRAINER 100 REMOTE.

Remove the screws from the back of the remote with a #1 Phillips screwdriver. Then remove the back cover.

Remove the rubber gasket from the battery cover. You can do this with a paperclip or something similar.

You may need to wipe out any dirt or debris that has built up with a cotton swab.

Replace the gasket with the new gasket provided in your battery replacement kit.
This step is important for the remote to remain waterproof.

Put the front and back of the remote back together, and hand-tighten all 8 screws.
Be careful not to fasten the screws too tight as this can damage the remote.

You will need to pair your remote transmitter and collar after replacing the battery. Please refer to HOW TO PAIR YOUR SPORTDOG YARDTRAINER-100/YARDTRAINER-100S REMOTE AND COLLAR.

Recycle the battery as recommended by your local waste facility.
